Wireless Earbuds
Wireless earbuds simplify our listening experience by eliminating the clutter and complications of having cables dangling from our ears. The question is: do they work as well as the corded variety? There are actually several viable options available that have a proven track record, especially for those desiring a wireless option for exercise and sports activities. Below we have listed what we consider to be the best earbuds with a wireless option with prices from $35.
There are a couple of options when it comes to wireless earbuds. If your source device is blue-tooth enabled you can simply purchase a set of bluetooth earbuds, and your good to go (but verify compatibility as there are different “generations” bluetooth software). If you have a MP3 player you will need to purchase a bluetooth adapter, such as the Sony Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter. The Motorola S9 earbuds are a representative example of this type of wireless earbuds. If you do not have a bluetooth source such as an ipod, iphone or mp3 player, you may want to consider a headset with an integral player. These new generation players weigh mere ounces and are docked directly into the headset. The Arriva Cordless earbuds are an example of this design, and are made to be used with the IPod Shuffle.
Motorola S9
The S9’s are one of the more popular selling bluetooth earbuds. Priced at about $35, they are popular with exercise enthusiasts, though there have been some complaints that excessive moisture will cause eventual failure. Therefore we do not recommend these for indoor exercise, such as extended treadmill sessions.
