At first I hesitated to feature such an inexpensive set of earbuds, but the MDR-W08L at about $10 have a loyal and vocal following. When reading the reviews at Amazon, I was surprised at the number of owners that have stocked up on several pairs of these, fearing that they will be discontinued. It’s true that many of these owners have experienced a channel shorting out after a couple of months (though some have owned the same pair for more than a year), but they feel the advantages and low cost more than compensate for this apparent shortcoming. These are an active noise cancelling earbud set – meaning that active electronic circuitry senses outside noises and produces a signal that cancels it out. For those who find the in-ear noise isolating type buds intolerable due to the tight sealing tips they require, these are a great option.These have received good reviews at amazon, unusual for active noise cancelling phones in this price range.
