IPhone Earbuds
Owners of Iphones often are looking for replacement earbuds. Some are unhappy with the audio quality of the stock buds and realize that upgraded earbuds can make significant difference in their listening enjoyment. Others simply find the default phones uncomfortable for extended listening, or perhaps the original earbuds are no longer working properly.
Whatever the reason, iphone earbuds are available at several qualities and price points. Listed below are our top three recommended iPhone earbuds.
Sennheiser MM50 iP Earbuds / Headset
Most find the audio quality of these buds strikingly superior to the stock buds. The design allows for very good sound isolation, even in a noisy airline cabin environment. There are some comments that the design of the microphone is not up to par with the IEMs (in-ear monitors). Overall most felt that Sennheiser created a winner, particularly with regard to the audio and noise isolating qualities of the earbuds. Priced at just under $75.
Altec Lansing Hi-Fi Snugfit/In-Ear Noise Isolation Isolating Earbuds

Priced at about $40, Altec Lansing offers a significant upgrade in terms of audio quality and build quality. The buds come with three different sizes of foam tips that help ensure an optimum and comfortable fit. Included is a a 3.5 mm adapter that makes it usable for IPhones as well as other portable players using the 2.5 mm plug.
Macally HifiTune Premium Sound Hands-Free Headset for iPhone and iPhone 3G

Priced at around $40, the Macally are known for their outstanding base performance. At first glance, these earbuds appear well-made and are impressive performers. However, there have been reliability issues regarding the cable connections (they tend to come loose), as well as reliability issues in general. If impressive base is important to you, these may be worth a try, though I would suggest waiting until their quality control issues have been addressed. Otherwise the Altec Lansing mentioned above are, in our opinion the best earbuds for iphones at under $40.
